When a married couple is planning on
migrating to Canada then one of them acts as a primary contender and the other
person becomes the secondary person but the health and character certificate of

Express Entry program
It is an online
mode of application filing in which the screening time is 6 to 12 months. Under
the express entry program, the candidate is allotted PR status based on the
points calculated based on the Age, Education, Language proficiency and work

candidate with the right to settle anywhere in Canada.
Provincial Nominee program ( PNP)
PNPs is a PR status for a particular province, whose eligibility
criteria for migration has been met by the candidate. It is to be noted that PR
status is acquired for a particular province for which the candidate was
eligible through Age, education, work experience and adaptability. Further,
every province has its own guidelines for the immigration process.
Quebec Skilled Workers Program( QSWP)
It is a mode of applying for a PR status for
Quebec region in which the PR is achieved for Quebec region only and here you
will have to first seek approval from the Quebec government after that federal
approval is sought. Here, there is extra 17 points allocated for spouse
